Richard has been training and teaching Martial Arts for over 40 years.  He is a 5th degree black belt in Goju-kan Karate and holds black belt ranks in Shotokan Karate and Okinawan Weaponry. Eventually settling on Japanese Sabaki as his choice of style for the modern day student.

He is an internationally trained tournament referee and a multiple Queensland, Australian and World Title winner. He also teaches a variety of Weaponry and the basics of ground based grappling as a part of this self defence curriculum.
